Geotechnical Engineering

As an integral phase of any construction project, a geotechnical investigation must be conducted to evaluate the existing site conditions as they relate to the proposed design and construction requirements.  Our geotechnical investigations typically consist of review of the civil plans and structural considerations after which a site investigation plan is developed and implemented to evaluate the subsurface soil and groundwater conditions under the direct supervision of our geotechnical engineers.

The soil samples obtained during the site investigation are returned to our in-house laboratory where they are subjected to refined classification and laboratory testing.  Upon review and analysis of the field and laboratory test results, a geotechnical engineering report is prepared which presents a summary of the data collected in conjunction with site specific recommendations as they relate to foundation type(s), soil bearing capacities, site development and specific recommendations which may be unique to a particular project.
